DevOps Engineer

Position Description
The ideal candidate is self-sufficient and intrinsically motivated to solve progressively challenging business and technical challenges. The ideal candidate has a strong interest and Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, installing and supporting applications and tools within the SDLC lifecycle, and can troubleshoot issues thoroughly. They are continuous learners and should also be comfortable sharing knowledge with other members on the team. This candidate can seek out answers to questions they may have and also knows when to ask for assistance. Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires ship.

This position is located in our Lafayette, LA, or Lebanon, VA Knoxville, TN or Belton, TX office, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Future Duties:
Build, install, configure, troubleshoot multiple custom-built applications.
Deploy code and secure environments for several applications.
Participate in Kanban and/or Scrum meetings to plan, prioritize, and estimate work
Work with Developers and Testers to troubleshoot specific issues, including recreating tests, validating configuration, etc.
Enable higher-quality software services through DevOps culture and tooling
Requirements:
4-year degree in Computer Science or a similar field
5+ years' experience in the IT Industry
GitHub experience or similar source control tools
Extensive experience using Linux and Windows operating systems
Cloud and On-Prem experience - Azure, AWS, and/or VMWare
Experience with Agile Software Development processes
Daily use of tools like Azure Devops, SharePoint, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus
Experience installing, configuring and using Kubernetes, Openshift, Jenkins
Experience setting up, configuring and troubleshooting multiple CI/CD pipelines
Experience running, supporting, and troubleshooting containerized applications on Kubernetes
Experience with working with vendor application support troubleshooting complex issues, i.e. Redhat with Openshift
Experience writing automation using Terraform, Ansible and Python doing various things, i.e. installing software, configuring scheduled tasks
Experience with Cloud and Devops functionality like ARM templates or CloudFormation templates.
Experience Packaging and Publishing software for client consumption
Experience Patching Oracle
Experience developing Helm Charts
