Job Details

We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive strategic automation, infrastructure modernization, and DevSecOps adoption for a leading financial institution. This is a hands-on and strategic role responsible for enhancing the software development lifecycle (SDLC), improving deployment efficiency, strengthening security and compliance, and fostering innovation across Agile delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud-native DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline architecture, containerization, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will mentor engineers, partner closely with architecture and security teams, and help shape enterprise-wide DevSecOps strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and Chocolatey

  • Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker, Podman, and Amazon EKS

  • Build and manage deployment workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins

  • Implement shift-left security practices using Checkmarx, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud

  • Guide development teams on secure coding, compliance, and resiliency standards

  • Maintain automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, system, performance)

< data-start="1839" data-end="1870">Collaboration & Mentorship</>

  • Mentor engineers and Agile teams on DevOps and DevSecOps best practices

  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and delivery teams on solution design

  • Support Agile teams with Azure DevOps (ADO) configuration and workflows

< data-start="2109" data-end="2135">Innovation & Strategy</>

  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and DevOps maturity improvement

  • Participate in Technology Centers of Excellence (CoE)

  • Evaluate and adopt emerging DevOps tools, platforms, and vendor solutions

  • Support long-term modernization initiatives including container security and compliance tooling

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering and DevOps

  • 7+ years working in SCRUM / Agile environments

  • Expertise in Docker, Podman, and orchestration using Amazon EKS

  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus, TeamCity

  • Cloud engineering experience in AWS with exposure to Azure

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, Chocolatey

  • Strong DevSecOps experience with Checkmarx, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud

  • Experience configuring and administering GitHub Copilot

  • Scripting expertise in Python, PowerShell, Bash

  • Experience with APM tools: Datadog, SolarWinds

  • Familiarity with Artifactory, NuGet, JFrog, and build tools such as MSBuild

  • Object-oriented programming experience in C# or similar languages

Nice to Have

  • Experience enforcing development standards and preventing rebel code

  • Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (AWS & Azure)

  • Experience building self-service DevOps platforms

  • Strong documentation and communication skills
