DevOps Manager

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a DevOps Manager to lead teams to streamline software development and IT operations, optimizing processes and fostering collaboration to improve efficiency and reliability.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Provides support to the Project Manager in the execution of the project, particularly in the realm of IT operations and application development.
Cultivates a strategic partnership with other Directors to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with organizational objectives.
Ensures timely communication of significant IT operations and application development issues
Directs strategic vision and efforts for all staff involved in critical IT operations and application development.
Leads the transformation of existing applications and the design of new apps for a modern architecture.
Works towards operational excellence by instituting a DevOps framework across a multidisciplinary team.
Offers guidance to technical staff and oversees the development of project plans, schedules, and spending plans for technical activities.
Collaborates with technical staff to identify and implement operational efficiencies through automation and continuous improvement.
Collaborates with IT engineers and development teams to plan and execute application migrations to cloud environments.
Communicates status updates to stakeholders effectively to maintain confidence within and outside the team.
Drives effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment among diverse groups with competing priorities.
Represents the client in customer meetings and serves as the primary liaison for technical solutions.
Engages with vendors, other agencies, and client staff on behalf of the client.
Stays current with relevant technology trends.
Participates in special projects as needed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
Professional certification such as PMP is preferred.
Minimum of twelve (12) years of professional experience supporting complex IT projects, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience managing large, diverse project teams.
Over 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure services or development.
Over 5 years of experience leading IT teams of 20 or more.
2-5 years of experience in a cloud environment.
Demonstrated experience in driving DevOps methodologies and Scrum Agile methodology.
Ability to lead projects using the Scrum/Agile framework.
Familiarity with cloud services including AWS, Azure, and private cloud.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a distributed team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience supporting Federal agencies is advantageous.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $140,000 - $180,000
