DevSecOps/OpenShift (Kubernetes) Engineer

Location: Lansing, MI

Duration: 12+ months

Remote or On-site: Accepting local candidates within 2 hours of Lansing ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start and there is NO REMOTE ONLY option.

This position functions as lead DevSecOps /Azure DevOps/OpenShift (Kubernetes) engineer responsible for supporting large client projects. Contributes considerable business and technical knowledge to complex IT projects.
The DevSecOps / OpenShift (Kubernetes) Engineer will provide leadership and direction, mentoring team members to drive organizational maturity. TheDevSecOps/ OpenShift (Kubernetes) Engineer will also consult with development teams to ensure platform fit is aligned to the business application requirements. Additionally, understanding of APIs, micro-services development, containers and supporting platform technologies is also required

Qualifications

Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Designing and Implementing ADO Wiki, Work Item structures,Pipelines, ADO GIT repos/branches/PullRequests, and related Standards and Processes.

Hands on experience inautomating CI / CD needs on RedHat OpenShift / OCP, Linux, Windows, SQL Server,Oracle, etc.

Experience creating ADOBuild and Deploy Pipelines to build Apps and container images and deploy usingstandard ADO tasks and for old and new Java and .Net Apps and integrating withApache Tomcat, JBoss, SQL Server, Windows, Linux, Oracle, etc.

Experience producingDocuments for Process and Automation.

Strong experience withRed Hat OpenShift V4.

Troubleshoot theapplication issues in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environment.

Experience in creatingBuild, Deployment, and other CRD config files for applications on OpenShift.

Hands-on experience increating Docker and S2I images, Stateful sets and converting existing dockerimage to an S2I image and vice versa.

Working knowledge onOpenShift/Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Custom Helm charts

Knowledge on maintainingdocker Image Repository like Quay

Experience and ability tocreating docker files, images, and containers.

Work collaboratively withteams to ensure our products are successfully deployed, upgraded, andmaintained.

Deep knowledge andexperience with Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) version 8.X andhigher.

Elastic stackadministration, performance and capacity management including Indexcuration/retention management.

Logstash and pipelineconfiguration and grok experience.

Working knowledge ofElastic Beats Filebeat, Heartbeat.

Working Experience withSonarQube/Coverity/Black Duck and integrating into ADO Pipelines and PullRequest flows

Experience with LinuxScripting, .ksh , bash and Python.

Experience inunderstanding and debugging Java errors.

Strong Knowledge of SSL,TCP/IP Networking, LDAP.

Excellent communicationand teamwork skills works well with diverse teams and independently

Self-starter withexcellent organization, planning, detail-oriented documentation, and timemanagement skills

Clear and precise verbaland written communication skills. Easyto understand.

A total 8+ years of experience working on Kubernetes / OpenShift.
8+ years of experience in Linux shell scripting
5 years as in expert in application containerization management
Experience in DevSecOps practices, infrastructure, scripting/programming
5+ years of experience with following skill sets
