Job Description:

We are hiring a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS Preferred)!

Role: Senior Full Stack Developer (Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer - AWS Preferred)

Supporting: Large Financial Services Client

Location: Onsite McLean, VA

Position Description: As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of developer workspaces and cloud infrastructure that drive automation, simplification, and strategic alignment. You'll collaborate with product owners to maintain templates, pipelines, and scaffolding, while partnering with cross-functional teams including security, platform, and network groups. This role also includes integrating Generative AI into developer workflows and cloud solutions to enhance customer experience and productivity. You'll be responsible for optimizing cloud performance, supporting developer tooling, and ensuring all solutions meet governance and compliance standards.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure roles
  • Strong development skills in Python and Java
  • Expertise in CI/CD tooling and automation
  • Experience with AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with desktop provisioning tools (SCCM, VDI, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
  • Ability to lead initiatives and collaborate across technical teams


Key Objectives:
  • Ensure client gains value from infrastructure abstraction and simplification layers, automation, and scaffoldings.
  • Guarantee that templates, pipelines, and other pattern fodder are created and maintained by the product owners.
  • Partner with security, platform, network, and vendors to ensure strategic alignment is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud solutions that drive simplification and automation, enhancing the overall customer experience.
  • Collaborate with product owners to develop and maintain templates, pipelines, and other necessary components.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including security, platform, and network to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate Generative AI capabilities into cloud solutions, enhancing the value proposition for customers.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve cloud strategies and solutions.
