Die Maintenance Technician

Die Maintenance Technician

Position Overview
The Die Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of dies and related tooling used in manufacturing processes. This role ensures that all tooling is operational and maintained according to safety and quality standards, contributing to efficient production workflows.

Shift Preference: 2nd shift available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on dies and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to dies, including mechanical and electrical components.
  • Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks on tooling to maintain production standards.
  • Collaborate with CNC machinists to ensure proper setup and functionality of equipment.
  • Utilize CAD software to assist in the design and modification of tooling as necessary.
  • Implement safety procedures and practices while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in training new technicians on die maintenance and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • One year of vocational school or 3+ years of professional experience in stamping and die maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience and knowledge with CNC and grinding equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, set-up, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment usage, such as micrometer, caliper and optical comparator.
