ITS is seeking an experienced Die Maintenance Technician to join our client's team. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, performance, and longevity of our progressive dies and stamping equipment. If you excel at troubleshooting, precision work, and keeping manufacturing operations running smoothly, we d love to meet you.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of progressive dies used in production.

  • Provide rapid response and support for equipment and die downtime, ensuring minimal interruption to operations.

  • Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on stamping dies, presses, and related equipment while following established processes and safety procedures.

  • Diagnose die-related issues to determine root cause and implement effective and permanent countermeasures.

  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble dies, both for routine PM work and emergency in-press repairs as needed.

  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, and radius gauges to verify die specifications, alignments, and clearances.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Assist with special projects or additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of die maintenance experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

  • Strong understanding of stamping, automation, and general manufacturing applications.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, and drawings involving pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and electronic components.

  • Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and ARC welding, as well as die grinding.

  • Skilled in operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational abilities.

  • Demonstrated teamwork, problem-solving capabilities, and a high mechanical aptitude.

  • Willingness to work overtime or holidays as business demands.
