Director, Database Architecture Lead

About your role:
As a Director of Database Analysis I, you will lead our database analysis team, ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of our database systems. Your leadership and strategic vision will drive the design, analysis, and maintenance of databases to meet complex business requirements. You will manage and mentor a team of database professionals, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and implement industry best practices to optimize performance and ensure data integrity. This role offers a significant opportunity to shape our data operations and contribute to the overall success of our business.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing database analysis team.
  • Define and implement the overall database strategy and vision.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment of database initiatives with business goals.
  • Oversee the analysis, design, and maintenance of database systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Monitor and maintain database performance, security, and integrity.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on database progress, metrics, and outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the database team and processes.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in database analysis
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams
  • 4+ years of experience in SQL or database management systems
  • 4+ years of experience in data modeling
  • 4+ years of experience in database performance tuning
  • 8+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience


Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience with database management tools
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Familiarity with distributed database systems
  • Understanding of database security best practices
  • Certification in database management

You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Salary Range:

$127,500.00-$170,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
