Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Director of Quality Compliance is the following:

• Establish and manage quality systems: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) with clear standards, procedures, and protocols tailored to optical components and systems. Ensure adherence to all applicable industry regulations.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives: Review test data to detect deviations from established quality standards, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve product and service quality concerns.
• Perform data analysis and reporting: Gather and interpret quality metrics to uncover trends and root causes of defects. Prepare detailed reports to inform leadership and support continuous improvement strategies.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure consistent quality throughout the product development lifecycle. Provide training and support on quality best practices as needed.
• Promote continuous improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance quality processes, applying corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues and elevate overall performance.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Director of Quality Compliance will have the following:

• Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS): Enforce policies and procedures and conduct audits to ensure product, company, and system compliance.
• Technical expertise: Possess a strong understanding of optical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Adaptable and results-oriented: Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills: Synthesize and interpret data while also handling contract negotiations and understanding legal terms.
• 10+ Years of Quality Experience as it relates to manufacturing
• Bachelors Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel 30% of the time
