As a Director of Site Reliability Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Infrastructure & Production Management team, you will constantly establish new collaborative partnerships that allows your team to work across functions, proactively engage team members, initiate career conversations, and delegate assignments and opportunities, equitably. Your responsibilities will also include inspiring your team and others to deliver robust and resilient products and services to our clients. You will be tasked with developing company-wide reliability strategies and leading your team in the implementation and execution of these strategies.

Job responsibilities
- Manages multiple stakeholders with broad direction on complex projects to ensure work is executed according to compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Manages team members' development by ensuring they have access to resources needed for learning
- Anticipates the needs of immediate team to proactively make decisions to eliminate roadblocks and deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Applies cross-functional technical and business knowledge and leadership to multiple technical areas and disciplines
- Implements innovative methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects and people working on highly complex business issues
- Identifies opportunities to initiate operational changes across disciplines and partners with leadership to support, influence, and drive innovation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Site Reliability / Software Engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technological issues
- Expertise in monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) and logging systems (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk, etc.)
- Influences the team's culture by championing innovation and change for success
- Experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Draws upon leadership experience to engage team members to expresses complex ideas with appropriate level of detail
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
- 10+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices
- Familiar with Data Privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Skills in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks
- Experience with load testing and capacity planning
