The Director of Engineering is responsible for leading and managing the engineering department, ensuring the successful development and implementation of innovative technical solutions. This role will oversee a team of engineers, providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and mentorship to drive the company's engineering initiatives.
What You'll Do
? Develop and implement White Lodging's long-term strategy for the engineering department, aligning it with overall company goals and objectives.
? Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to foster their professional growth.
? Ensure the technical excellence and quality of engineering projects, providing technical expertise and problem-solving as needed.
? Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
? Manage the allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to support the engineering department's goals.
? Collaborate with other departments, such as Housekeeping, Front Desk, F&B, and Sales to ensure effective communication and coordination of engineering efforts.
What You'll Bring
? Engineering management in hospitality preferred
? Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams
? Strong project management skills
? Excellent organization and communication skills
? Familiarity with union labor contract preferred (if relevant)
? Any required licenses or certifications (HVACR, EPA, Certified Pool Operator, etc.)
