Description
The ERP Manager provides oversight, leadership and management of the JD Edwards system and suite of related applications. The position is responsible for leading projects and providing support for the JD Edwards support and development team. The position reports to the CIO and works collaboratively with IT, business unit directors, managers and supervisors to implement projects and resolve issues from concept through implementation. The position will also work closely with partners and development contractors to provide enhancements, modifications and integration improvements to the existing system. This position is directly responsible for all of the support of a diverse and unique implementation of JD Edwards with the assistance of outside resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Work with directors, managers and supervisors to understand and support their business process workflows and maintain the existing technology. Respond to incidents and service requests including upgrades and integrations as necessary to satisfy requirements.
Successfully establish and maintain relationships with external support vendors and contractors. Provide direction, documentation and requirements to those entities.
Mentor and manage development and support staff using modern PM concepts
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the implemented JD Edwards environment including customizations and third party applications.
Analyze computer systems and resource limitations to provide recommendations based on the impacts, risks, scope and cost estimates of requested changes or modifications.
Support the full system development lifecycle including but not limited to (1) developing system hardware and software documentation, end user and administrator technical guides, (2) providing system security and technical input to management regarding security issues, guidelines and best practices, and (3) collaborating with vendors providing support to coordinate those efforts with the enterprise.
Provide support and guidance on all associated JD Edwards technologies including but not limited to, distribution, voice pick, reporting, shipping, invoicing and integration with existing windows systems.
Assist in the research and implementation of future IT projects based upon needs of the organization
Key Responsibilities of a Legacy ERP Manager:
System Administration:
Managing the ERP system infrastructure, including servers, databases, and network components. JDEdwards database and systems and servers, backups, auditing for SOC's purposes.
Support and Maintenance:
Addressing user queries, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the system's stability and performance. Currently have 3 people they would be managing, 2 remote, 1 works in the office

Enhancements and Upgrades:
Implementing new features, patches, and upgrades to the ERP system, while managing the associated risks and timelines.
Integration and Extensibility:
Integrating the ERP system with other business systems and extending its capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
Data Management:
Maintaining data integrity, performing data migration and conversion, and ensuring data security.
Training and Documentation:
Providing training to end-users, developing user documentation, and ensuring knowledge transfer within the organization.
Process Optimization:
Working with business users to identify and implement process improvements within the ERP system.
Vendor Management:
Maintaining relationships with ERP vendors and managing licensing and support contracts.
Project Management:
Leading and managing ERP-related projects, such as system upgrades, integrations, and custom development.
Budget Management:
Managing the ERP budget, including hardware, software, and support costs.
Risk Management:
Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the ERP system, such as security breaches, data loss, and system downtime.
Communication and Collaboration:
Effectively communicating with business users, IT staff, and ERP vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr.
