RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an ETL Developer in Englewood, CO.
Overview:
We are partnering with a major telecommunications client to find a talented Data Developer to join their innovative team. This is primarily an in-office collaborative role designed for someone passionate about developing front-end data solutions, working with large data sets, and building data infrastructure from scratch.
If you are excited about shaping data services that support enterprise-scale infrastructures, enjoy tackling complex challenges with a focus on front-end data development, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this opportunity is for you!
Essential Functions:
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of front-end focused data services and data movement infrastructures that support enterprise data warehouses, operational data stores, and master data management systems
* Build ETL processes and data integration solutions from the ground up, with strong expertise in SQL
* Work extensively with large-scale data sets (200-350 terabytes), ensuring efficient data handling and performance
* Utilize SQL heavily (approximately 80% of your work) to develop and maintain data pipelines, while Tableau usage will be less critical (around 20%)
* Collaborate closely with Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence teams to deliver scalable, end-to-end data solutions across multiple platforms
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data integration jobs, working with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to resolve issues efficiently
* Translate business requirements into effective data capture and processing solutions that drive actionable insights
* Actively contribute to simplifying and enhancing the customer experience through innovative and scalable data development
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using SQL, Shell Script, Python, and JSON
* 2-4 years of experience in data integration development, primarily front-end focused
* Strong focus on SQL with expertise in handling large-scale data lakes and SQL/HIVE databases
* Proven experience building data solutions from scratch, with an emphasis on performance and scalability
* Experience with Java frameworks (Spring MVC), application servers (WebSphere, Tomcat), and web services (WSDL SOAP, RESTful)
* Familiarity with FTP/sFTP protocols
* Demonstrated ability to support data scientists by creating use cases and building relevant data sets
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
* Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions:
* Primarily in-office to foster strong collaboration and teamwork
* Flexible option to work remotely one day per week
