Energy Management Corporation is looking for a hardworking, hands-on Electric Motor Rewind Technician to join our Salt Lake City shop. We're a well-established (44+ years strong) and growing company that repairs and rebuilds industrial motors, drives, and generator equipment that powers factories, plants, and more.

What You'll Do

You'll work with a tight-knit team to rewind and repair AC/DC electric motors and equipment. This job is physical, hands-on, and rewarding.

Tasks include:
  • Taking apart and prepping electric motors
  • Stripping, cutting, and winding new coils
  • Operating ovens, testers, and winding machines
  • Cleaning and repairing motor components
  • Running basic tools and shop equipment
  • Following job specs and safety procedures
  • Keeping your area clean and organized
  • Supporting senior technicians as needed

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience helping rewind electric motors (or training as an apprentice)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and doing physical work
  • Able to read basic schematics and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Team player with good communication and a strong work ethic
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory and motor parts is a big plus
  • Forklift experience/certification is helpful (we'll train you if needed)
