What you will be able to do

The Electrified Systems Engineering (ESE) organization is responsible for delivering the best Battery Electric vehicles in every segment in which we compete. Consistently delivering the best customer vehicle value and profitability by delivering optimal battery energy capability and quality. Your duties would include:
  • Lead the next generation high voltage battery system design by proactively working with next generation battery technology suppliers and high voltage battery component design and release engineers
  • Design the overall electrical distribution hardware system within that next generation high voltage vehicle battery leveraging compatible, and potentially driving new, electrical hardware subsystems
  • Work closely with the high voltage electrical system architecture team and drive proper hardware selection delivering overall battery electrical requirements, including battery energy and component sensing & control
  • Negotiate & deliver battery electrical design elements, functions, and requirements
  • Drive & align on the battery's electrical subsystem design for assembly / service in close partnership with the manufacturing / customer service teams
  • Lead regular and frequent team meetings about the battery electrical architecture & design, driving the agendas, delegating tasks to team members, and resolving issues quickly
  • Leverage battery electrical benchmarking learnings
  • Present battery electrical design status to functional & program leadership


The minimum requirements we seek
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical or equivalent
  • 3+ years of academic or industry experience in electrified vehicles, electrified powertrain and high voltage battery design
  • Proven ability to lead a team in the delivery of program objectives
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in Systems Engineering
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Able to work under operational pressures and to set priorities

Our preferred requirements
  • Master's Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of academic or industry experience in electrified vehicles, electrified powertrain and high voltage battery design
  • Design and Release experience
  • CAD Design experience
