Salary: $70,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Development of design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, etc.
• Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit for development of project plans for certain project types that may include

single line diagrams, schematics, P&ID's, etc.

• Prepare and revise documentation in various project phases including site plans, diagrams, and details.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
• Provide review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports, and

performs other contract administration tasks.

• Development of job specific discipline specifications.
• Evaluation and selection of electrical systems and materials.
• Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
• Apply technical expertise to meet project requirements within project timeframes and budget.
• Foster existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business.

Capabilities

• Thorough understanding of electrical and instrumentation engineering concepts and ability to effectively

communicate ideas to others.

• Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes.
• Ability to manage individual projects and also be part of a project team with ability to participate and

collaborate in project team setting.

• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and instrumentation

and controls.

• Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
• Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.
• Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and

schedule.

• Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and/or Revit or other applicable software.
• Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
• Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience.
• Ohio Professional Engineer's license REQUIRED.
