- Develop wiring diagrams, power budgets, and data interface specifications for mission payloads and computing hardware.
- Support selection and integration of C4ISR systems (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance).
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure seamless mission system integration with vessel control and autonomy frameworks.
- Ensure designs meet military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1399) for EMI/EMC, power quality, and environmental survivability.
- Lead or contribute to system-level integration and testing, including lab-based hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and field trials.
- Analyze performance and support system troubleshooting and root cause resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
- Document engineering work in technical drawings, ICDs, test plans, and compliance reports.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for electronics and radar integration activities.
- Trade-off component and module selections against size, weight and power requirements.
- Interface with necessary external stakeholders to evolve designs
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, focusing on system-level design, development, and testing.
- Working knowledge of sensor integration, digital/analog signal interfaces, and data communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, RS-422/485, CANbus).
- Experience with military or ruggedized hardware, including COTS/GOTS components.
- Proficiency with tools such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX and circuit simulation software.
- Familiarity with system engineering principles and lifecycle documentation (requirements, V&V, FMECA).
- Proficiency in laboratory skills, including setting up and running experiments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
