Electrical Engineer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Irvine, CA): Perform and support electrical engineering design, instrumentation, and control systems design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Provide consulting and control strategy development for water and wastewater projects using knowledge of low voltage and medium voltage systems, closed loop control systems, state machines, sequencing management, and digital logic reduction techniques. Design Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and DCS Platforms. Perform field engineering services on location at client work sites. Act as owner representative for water and wastewater construction projects and provide start-up and commissioning consultations for clients. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 7 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 7 years of experience with the following: Electrical engineering design for water and wastewater projects; Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and closed loop control systems; State machines and sequencing management; Digital logic reduction techniques including Karnaugh Map and truth table; Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems including transformers, motors, generators, prime movers, drives, and grounding; Operational Technology network architecture and configurations; and Development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Programming, configuration, and troubleshooting Emerson Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS) platform.
Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineer License or Canadian Professional Engineer License.
Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.
Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 25%.
Travel to various international locations required up to 10%.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
