Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician

At Charter Aarrowcast, our maintenance team is the backbone of our operation, keeping everything running smoothly. They tackle a variety of challenges, from installing and maintaining equipment to troubleshooting complex problems and executing preventive maintenance plans.

Weekly Schedule: On our newly created weekend shift, you will only work 3 days! Friday, Saturday, Sunday on our 12 hour shift. Work only 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours!

Position Specifics:

  • Location: Charter Aarrowcast: 2900 E Richmond St, Shawano, WI 54166

  • Shift: Weekend only: Work Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. Nights and day shift available. 12 hour shifts 7pm - 7am or 7am-7pm

What you'll do:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines and equipment

  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical and electrical issues

  • Work with hydraulic systems

  • Keep track of parts and tools

  • Check that parts meet required specs

  • Make sure all equipment is safe to use

  • Fill out maintenance records and reports

  • Keep your work area clean

What you'll need:

  • Technical degree in a related field, a journeyman?s card, or 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance

  • Read and interpret technical documents

  • Use electrical/mechanical testing and precision measuring tools

  • Operate hand and power tools

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with welding and torch equipment

  • Clear, effective communication with a focus on teamwork

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and Drives

  • Skilled in AC/DC motor maintenance, hydraulics, and pneumatics

  • Industry certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand and walk; occasionally sit, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs

  • Able to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Clear, effective communication with a focus on teamwork and customer service
