Additionally, experience in handling and testing high-voltage products in a laboratory environment is required.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of high-power solar and battery control systems.
- Modify and maintain software within a Linux embedded environment.
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, and hardware bug tracking, including signal characterization and functional verification.
- Create and execute hardware and system-level test plans, including pre-compliance, reliability, and environmental testing.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers (primarily in Asia) and component suppliers to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
- Participate in DFMEA, DFQ, and DFR processes to enhance product reliability and performance.
- Develop numerical simulations and data analysis tools to support control algorithm creation and decision-support software.
- Build and test peer-to-peer energy sharing and demand-response systems.
- Prototype preventive maintenance decision-support applications.
- Design algorithms for fault diagnosis and failure prediction.
- Support system sizing under demand uncertainty and integrate renewable energy systems efficiently.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master s preferred).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design, including digital, analog, and power electronic systems.
- Strong understanding of power conversion technologies converters, inverters, and rectifiers.
- Proven experience with Embedded Linux Development, including Device Trees and Linux build systems (e.g., Buildroot).
- Background in solar, microgrid, or renewable energy systems.
- Proficient with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and electronic loads.
- Skilled in design tools and environments including LabView, MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape, Altium, PLECS, Python.
- Deep knowledge of wireless communication technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular).
- Familiarity with Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) development frameworks.
- Awareness of international safety and EMC standards (UL, ISO, IEC, FCC, NEC).
- Self-starter attitude, eager to thrive in a start-up or high-growth environment.
