This position, under general supervision, is responsible for performing standard design and fabrication of electronicequipment including maintenance and trouble-shooting of electrical and electronic systems used in the plant.

Responsibilities
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n

Builds printed circuit boards, and electronic sub-assemblies. Constructs discrete or integrated electronic circuits.Calculates resistance, loads, currents and component sizes appropriate to the application.

\n

\n

May assist in the fabrication of electrical and electronic systems and tests final assemblies.

\n

\n

Performs periodic inspections of all scales, meters, controllers, recorders, and any other measuring devices used inthe production of product or in facility support systems.

\n

\n

Calibrates instruments to control or record accurately. Replaces, repairs and adjusts accompanying equipment toperform as designed.

\n

\n

Performs PMs, inspections and verifications on all control components.

\n

\n

Maintains material lists and assists in preparing purchasing requests.

\n

\n

Modifies and writes logic control programs. Assists in the diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, andsimilar problems and apply appropriate corrective action.

\n

\n

Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance on, or install plant equipment.

\n

\n

Performs installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting on electrical and electronics equipment, as assigned.

\n

\n

Performs frequency drives, writes drive logic in PLC code, creates HMI applications uploads and downloads PLCprograms and HMI applications, programs ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment, integrates new processes intoequipment, sets up network communications and sets up advanced routing of Ethernet protocols.

\n

\n

Participates in and successfully completes training directed at increasing job-related trade skills as mandated bymanagement/supervisor.

\n

\n

Helps train Maintenance employees in keeping all equipment in good repair and regularly serviced

\n

\n

Notifies lead or supervisor of electrical or related problems, as required.

\n

\n

Performs all duties in accordance with USDA, company policy and established procedures and maintains clean work area.

\n

\n

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a mannerconsistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience.

\n

\n

Years of Related Experience: 1-3 years related experience.

\n

\n

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Advanced electrical and maintenance knowledge/experience required; Must be able todesign electrical and electronic assemblies, draw and read electrical schematics; Must have skills sufficient todesign and implant control circuits utilizing PLCs, HMI, VFDs and Servos; Computer skills sufficient to operate alaptop/PLC and HMI programming software such as Allen Bradley, Square D, Siemins, Omron and SAP maintenance module;Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and proceduremanuals; Ability to complete work orders, carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form, andcomplete required paperwork; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,common fractions, and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area,circumference and volume; Electrical knowledge and ability to expand knowledge and skills via on-the-job and formaltraining directed at increasing job-related skills as mandated by management, including all required OSHA training;Ability to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State andFederal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations; Ability to obtain a validforklift license; Must be able to lift ninety (90) lbs
