JOB SUMMARY: The End User Computing Engineer II is responsible for administration and assistance in the execution of the Mountain Park Health Center (MPHC) End User Computing (EUC) strategy and leading those efforts. This role works closely with the End User Computer Engineer III on managing, standardizing, and maintenance of all end user devices including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other related instruments. The End User Computing Engineer II will manage independently at least 2 major platforms or services within the scope of responsibility of the End User Computing group.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by working closely with the End User
    Computing Engineer III in assisting in the development and supporting strategic plans for
    technologies related to EUC.
  • Identify corporate information technology requirements and collaborate in the evaluation,
    testing, and implementation of EUC solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Intermediate knowledge and ability to implement and develop tools to effectively manage the
    EUC devices and user environments including software delivery, asset management, OS and
    hardware updates, and changes.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of a unified end-point configuration standard to ensure hardware and software compatibility 
  • Collaborate with other IT groups such as Security, Service Desk, enterprise software management teams, and others to assist in the implementation and maintenance of solutions to the end users and resolve any identified issues.
  • Administer, create, and maintain documentation and processes in relation to EUC and Service Desk. Responsible for the platform and methodologies of PC Desktop Support including some hands-on problem solving.
  • Acts as a mid-tier escalation point for the Service Desk team in support of EUC managed equipment and software.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and developing strategies for management, control, and delivery.
  • Mid-level Microsoft Server, virtualization, and network support responsibilities in relation to delivery of EUC technologies and management tools.
  • Administer a software approval process, approved software library, and the mechanisms to distribute, limit, and control software installed on all EUC related devices.
  • Monitor and report on the EUC health, identifying issues, ensuring proper patching levels, and resolving identified Problems.
  • This position requires consistent, in-person attendance. However, based on the employee's performance and the specific task the employee is accomplishing, limited remote work may be permissible.
  • Travel to multiple locations during shift.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 2 years of IT experience OR high school diploma and at least 4 years of IT experience
  • At least 3 years of EUC administration experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of EUC management tools and best practices
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Windows and Office 365 management and best practices
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), MS Intune, MS Azure AD and other workstation and module management tools
  • Valid Driver's License
