Job Summary The Endpoint Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, and administration of endpoint management and security solutions for the organizations fleet of laptops, desktops, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). The primary focus is on Windows environments, with additional support for Linux and macOS systems. This role collaborates across IT and cybersecurity teams to enhance performance, address endpoint-related issues, and automate processes. The Endpoint Engineer plays a key role in securing and maintaining the organizations digital workplace. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain endpoint management and security tools aligned with company policies. Perform system hardening, compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation across all supported operating systems. Troubleshoot a broad range of endpoint issues and propose scalable solutions. Stay current with emerging security threats and endpoint management technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT operations, security, and professional services. Support end-user device enrollment, provisioning, and configuration, ensuring secure deployment. Manage patching, application packaging/distribution, and group policy settings. Provide technical mentoring to less experienced team members and support user training initiatives. Contribute to IT infrastructure and endpoint-related projects with minimal oversight. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Experience: 58 years of relevant experience in endpoint management and security within a mid to large-scale enterprise environment. Technical Skills and Competencies: Strong expertise with Microsoft Intune for device management. Familiarity with tools such as Jamf, Tanium, Landscape, or Absolute is a plus. Deep understanding of endpoint provisioning, compliance, application packaging, VDI, GPO, and patch management. Proven experience in endpoint security best practices, including hardening and remediation techniques. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to resolve complex technical issues. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-driven and capable of leading projects independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications (if any) Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, or similar. Experience with hybrid work environments or remote device support. Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government) is an asset. Education: Bachelors Degree
