The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in environmental compliance
  • Good knowledge of environmental legal requirements and best practices in the field, at a federal and state level (MA)
  • Previous experience interfacing with regulatory agencies.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Previous experience conducting effective and engaging training.
  • Ability to be flexible in their work hours to ensure coverage for the 24/7 operations at the site. Some but minimal travel required.
  • Excellent computer and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal environmental regulations and internal standards.
  • Prepare and manage environmental permits and programs (e.g., air, water, waste) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and submit required environmental reports (e.g., Tier II, TRI, NPDES, RCRA).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate environmental standards into operational and engineering processes.
  • Perform site assessments and audits to identify compliance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at meeting corporate sustainability goals
  • Liaise with environmental agencies including MassDEP and EPA and represent the company during inspections and regulatory communications.
  • Track environmental KPIs and prepare metrics-driven performance reports.
  • Provide training and guidance on environmental practices and sustainability policies.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system to exceed regulatory, corporate and industry requirements (ISO14001/ISO45001/RBA).
  • Be a key partner in a positive, proactive, and integrated EHS culture.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $66,112 to $90,904.
