Job Details
We are seeking a motivated Engineer with a strong focus on automation and process improvement to support the manufacturing of large silicone hose products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, designing mechanical solutions, and integrating automation systems to optimize production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated systems for large-scale manufacturing products.
- Develop mechanical solutions for tooling, fixtures, and material handling.
- Implement PLCs and controls to error-proof manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain CAD models and drawings for equipment and tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cycle times, throughput, and safety.
- Assist with FMEAs and PPAPs as needed.
- Support installation, start-up, and qualification of automated machinery.
- Develop drawings, SOPs, manuals, and preventive maintenance schedules for production and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or automation engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in mechanical design and automation (internship or full-time).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Familiar with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) and robotics integration.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
