Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in developing software in the telecommunications domain for the XSP Platform, using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Agile methodologies; work with Java design patterns, including factory pattern and chain pattern; perform application monitoring and logging using ELK and Prometheus; perform application deployment using Jenkins, Docker, and Concourse; use Junit for testing; use Git for storing code; use CI/CD deployment tools, including Cloud Foundry and AWS platform; use Azure, Websec, and SAT for authentication and API security; create plugins using Gradle and Maven; enhance frameworks using AWS S3 and Lambda; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, any Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing software in the telecommunications domain, using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Agile methodologies; working with Java design patterns, including factory pattern and chain pattern; using JUnit for testing; using Git for storing code; of which three (3) years includes performing application monitoring and logging using ELK and Prometheus; performing application deployment using Jenkins, Docker, and Concourse; using CI/CD deployment tools, including Cloud Foundry and AWS cloud; using Azure, WebSec, and SAT for authentication and API security; creating plugins using Gradle and Maven; and enhancing frameworks using AWS S3 and Lambda.
