Mechanical Engineer III NSWCPD HM&E Engineering Support
Location: Philadelphia, PA (with potential CONUS/OCONUS travel)
Clearance Required: Active Secret (minimum)

Overview
Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) in providing life cycle engineering, modernization, and fleet support services for U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, MSC, and allied platforms. This position will focus on mechanical engineering solutions for HM&E (hull, mechanical & electrical) control systems, supporting modernization, fleet readiness, and cybersecurity initiatives.
*This position is designated as Key Personnel under the upcoming contract award.
Responsibilities:
Provide mechanical engineering support for machinery, auxiliary, and electrical control systems.
Develop solutions for control systems and associated input/output devices, sensors, and instrumentation.
Conduct systems engineering analysis to integrate control systems with shipboard modifications and new technologies.
Support troubleshooting, testing, and evaluation of control system hardware/software at NSWCPD Land-Based Engineering Sites and shipboard environments.
Contribute to modernization and sustainment efforts for Navy platforms worldwide.
Interface with NSWCPD, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Shipyards, Regional Maintenance Centers, and Type Commander s Organizations to ensure successful system integration and life cycle support.
Qualifications (Target)
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university, or
Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of Navy technical experience in control systems and solutions, including machinery, auxiliary, and electrical systems, as well as I/O devices, sensors, and instrumentation.
Working knowledge of NAVSEA, NSWCPD, Naval Shipyards, Regional Maintenance Centers, and Type Commander s Organizations.
Active Secret clearance required.
Travel:
Some CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required to support fleet modernization efforts, shipboard installations, and program field offices.
