Position: RF Technician (Engineering Aide)

Location: Chelmsford, MA (Onsite)

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled RF Technician to join our engineering team and provide hands-on technical support for RF and microwave design projects. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with design engineers, assist in development programs, and contribute to testing, documentation, and troubleshooting of electronic RF systems.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in RF systems and lab equipment who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support RF engineers with technical tasks including data collection, analysis, and documentation.
  • Set up and operate RF test benches and test stands using equipment such as PNAs, signal generators, and spectrum/network analyzers.
  • Collect and analyze RF performance data including power, S-parameters, harmonics, phase noise, and noise figure.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, block diagrams, flow charts, and test reports.
  • Troubleshoot RF and digital circuits and assist in component-level debugging.
  • Perform assembly tasks based on engineering prints without additional work instructions.
  • Safely handle ESD-sensitive devices and components.
  • Use microscopes for inspection and microelectronics assembly tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting RF and digital circuits.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, and signal generators.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with electrical component parameters and packaging.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in electronics or a related technical field.
  • Experience with microelectronics assembly and soldering techniques.
  • Knowledge of RF modules including amplifiers, mixers, switches, and frequency conversion circuits.
  • Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Schematic and block diagram literacy.
