Engineering Program Manager (EPM)
Location Austin, Tx or Bay Area, CA
We have need for an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) starting as soon as possible.
The role is within the Wallets, Payments Commerce (WPC) EPM team in the Apple Services Engineering (ASE) Analytics Data Engineering (ADE) department. This person would be supporting Wallet analytics projects.
Work involves:
Required
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong understanding of technical concepts
- Able to handle fast paced and ambiguously defined projects with multiple customers and partners
- Strong conceptual understanding of data and data analytics - Someone who understands and thinks about data and data analytics. Not the "containers" of data (ie, it moves from here to there), but the data inside the containers. What is the meaning of the data in the datasets? How is it transformed? If the data changes, what analytics or metrics would break or would no longer make sense?
Preferred
- Familiarity with using a Mac laptop preferred
- Familiarity with big data technology preferred
- experience preferred (to enable him/her to get up to speed on our tooling set quickly and more independently)
