Job Description

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division, Code 24 is responsible for program management, engineering, technical, and logistics support for HM&E systems and equipment on U.S. Navy Submarines.

Job Description:

    \n
  • Provide engineering and technical support regarding the design, repair, qualification, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of U.S. Navy submarine propulsion, electrical, mechanical, auxiliary and information systems.
  • \n
  • Provide shipboard-troubleshooting and onsite support to resolve issues as requested and support ongoing waterfront maintenance activities regarding submarine-HM&E systems.
  • \n
  • Assist NSWCPD with the development, preparation, assessment, and conduct or monitoring of proposed test procedures on U.S. Navy submarine propulsion, electrical, mechanical and information systems.

  • Assist NSWCPD with shipboard system planning, estimating, and scheduling of work.

Education Requirement:
  • Graduate of high school, trade school or industrial school, or GED equivalent.

Experience Requirement:
  • Ten (10) years of experience in U.S. Navy Submarine systems and equipment, including the installation of systems, ships alterations, overhauls, repairs, testing, shipboard systems planning, estimating, and scheduling work.
