Enterprise Architect / AWS Cloud Engineer Salt Lake City/ Remote
Seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer who will design, implement, and manage secure, scalable AWS infrastructure to support critical business applications. This role requires strong hands-on AWS experience, automation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for business-critical applications.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront).
Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud-based systems.
Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost and performance using CloudWatch and Trusted Advisor.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Manage containerized workloads using ECS, EKS, or Docker.
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.
Apply AWS security best practices and compliance standards.
Collaborate with development teams to design cloud-native solutions.
Maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Document cloud architecture, processes, and configurations.
Support cloud migration and modernization projects.
Conduct performance testing and capacity planning.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in AWS cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
AWS Expertise: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route 53, ALB/NLB.
IaC: Proficient in Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Scripting: Python, Bash, or similar.
CI/CD: Experience with pipelines and automation tools.
Containers: Docker, ECS/EKS.
Networking: VPC design, subnets, security groups, NACLs.
Security: IAM policies, KMS, Secrets Manager.
Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps Engineer).
Experience with multi-account setups and landing zones.
