We are looking for an Enterprise Architect - Location: Redwood City, SFO (Hybrid) Position Type: 9+ Months Contract Position.

Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Employment Type: Contract

Work Location: Redwood City, SFO

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Best Practices

  • Apply architectural best practices across technologies to solve organizational challenges.
  • Define and communicate architectural roadmaps and future development strategies.
  • Understand and articulate interactions between infrastructure, operations, and development.

2. Business and Industry Fundamentals

  • Conduct ROI, TCO, and cost-benefit analyses to support IT investment decisions.
  • Stay informed on regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and IT industry trends (CI/CD, migration, AI).

3. Enterprise Architecture & Cloud Modernization

  • Design solutions across industries and business domains.
  • Lead modernization and migration programs (on-prem to Cloud, Cloud-to-Cloud, and hybrid environments).
  • Drive successful migrations and modernization of infrastructure, applications, and services onto AWS and multi-cloud platforms.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers, serving as a trusted Cloud advocate.

4. Repeatable Mechanisms and Solutions

  • Develop repeatable architectures, playbooks, and frameworks to enable cost-effective and risk-free modernizations.
  • Conduct deep assessments of existing technology landscapes and recommend modernization strategies.

5. Comprehensive Cloud Architecture

  • Architect multi-cloud strategies spanning SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS offerings.
  • Lead customer assessment workshops, immersion days, and discovery sessions.

6. Application & Cloud Platform Requirements

  • Analyze business applications and cloud platform requirements for modernization.
  • Ensure adherence to global technology standards for application and infrastructure changes.

7. Enterprise Architecture Consistency

  • Collaborate with technical architects to align enterprise architecture processes and practices across teams.

8. Overall Application Architecture

  • Define and oversee enterprise-wide application architecture in alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
  • Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of applications and systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Provide program-level value propositions across multiple delivery tracks.

9. Technology Breadth

  • Work across diverse platforms and technologies, not limited to a single cloud provider.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

  • Experience: 14+ years in application development, solution design, or enterprise architecture.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of industry-specific data privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Frameworks: Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Consulting: Prior experience with a software professional services or consulting firm.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven ability to design and implement complex, scalable, and reliable IT solutions.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Strong expertise in cloud technologies, microservices, and DevOps practices.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications (preferred): TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or equivalent).

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (TOGAF, AWS, or other enterprise/cloud certifications).
