Role: Enterprise Java Architect with Google Cloud Platform Expertise
Location: Parsippany, NJ (Onsite role)
Locals are highly preferred
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Java Architect with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale, enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java-based architecture, microservices, and modern cloud-native patterns, particularly within Google Cloud Platform ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
Develop and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Firestore, etc.
Lead architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technology selection for large transformation initiatives.
Define and enforce coding and design standards across development teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders including developers, DevOps, data engineers, and product owners to align architecture with business goals.
Ensure secure, compliant, and cost-efficient cloud architecture.
Provide guidance on CI/CD, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform / Deployment Manager).
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the enterprise architecture strategy and governance.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in software development with Java / JEE.
5+ years in a senior or lead architecture role.
Proven expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services.
Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform-native development including serverless, containers, and data services.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and GitOps methodologies.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API gateways, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
