Job Title: Epic Tapestry Analyst

Job Summary:

The Epic Tapestry Analyst supports the design, build, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the Epic Tapestry (Managed Care/Payer) module. This role works closely with payer operations, revenue cycle, and IT teams to ensure accurate benefits configuration, claims adjudication, authorizations, and reimbursement workflows.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, configure, and maintain Epic Tapestry (Payer/Managed Care) application components.

  • Configure benefit plans, products, packages, coverages, and eligibility rules.

  • Support claims adjudication, reimbursement logic, fee schedules, and payment policies.

  • Build and manage authorizations, referrals, and coordination of benefits (COB) workflows.

  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Enrollment, Claims, Contracting, and Finance teams.

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into Epic system configuration.

  • Perform unit testing, integrated testing, and UAT; troubleshoot and resolve defects.

  • Support interfaces and integrations with Epic HB, PB, Clearinghouses, and external payer systems.

  • Monitor work queues and reports; recommend system and workflow improvements.

  • Provide go-live, post–go-live, and ongoing production support.

  • Maintain build documentation, workflows, test scripts, and training materials.

  • Ensure compliance with CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and payer regulations.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Epic Tapestry certification or proficiency (required or strongly preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Epic Tapestry or payer systems.

  • Strong understanding of managed care, payer operations, and claims processing.

  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.

  • Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies and payer contracts.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of Clarity, Caboodle, or Reporting Workbench.

  • Prior Epic implementation or optimization project experience.

  • Healthcare payer or managed care organization background.
