Credentialed Trainer - Epic Willow Ambulatory

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Credentialed Trainer specializing in Epic Willow Ambulatory to join our education and training team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring they understand and confidently utilize Epic functionality to support safe, efficient ambulatory medication workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Epic Training & Curriculum Development
Deliver engaging, instructor-led training for Epic Willow Ambulatory, including medication ordering, pharmacy workflows, and related clinical processes.
Develop, maintain, and update training materials, job aids, videos, and documentation to reflect system changes and best practices.
Conduct competency assessments and skills validations to ensure users are proficient with system functionality.
Tailor training to audience needs, ranging from providers and nurses to pharmacy and ambulatory support staff.
Go-Live, Upgrade & Optimization Support
Support end users during system go-lives, upgrades, workflow changes, and optimization efforts.
Participate in testing cycles to validate training materials against new features and changes.
Collaborate with analysts and operational leaders to understand workflow changes and translate them into effective training content.
End-User Engagement & Customer Support
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Epic Willow Ambulatory questions and system navigation.
Provide elbow support, troubleshoot end-user issues where appropriate, and escalate system concerns to analysts when needed.
Maintain strong relationships with pharmacy, nursing, ambulatory leaders, and other clinical stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with IT analysts, clinical educators, and operational leaders to ensure training aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Communicate clearly and proactively regarding training schedules, curriculum changes, and system updates.
Promote a positive learning environment that builds confidence and competency in Epic users.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Health-related field, or a similar discipline
OR7+ years of experience in in-service education, training, clinical education, or health education
Preferred:
Experience teaching in a classroom, virtual, or clinical setting
Background in event planning, curriculum development, or instructional design
Epic credentialing in Willow Ambulatory or willingness to become credentialed
