About the Role:
We re seeking a highly skilled Experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in supporting and maintaining our clients and internal IT systems. This role requires hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365, Windows domains, networking, cybersecurity, backup solutions, virtualization, and physical security technologies. You ll work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure smooth operations, secure environments, and top-notch service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical support for Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and security/compliance configurations.
Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server environments.
Configure, deploy, and support network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
Implement and manage email security solutions (phishing protection, spam filtering, advanced threat protection).
Apply cybersecurity best practices, including implementing endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and compliance solutions.
Manage physical security systems, including access control platforms and IP security cameras.
Utilize Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) systems to proactively monitor and manage endpoints.
Use helpdesk and ticketing systems to track, prioritize, and resolve technical issues.
Perform low voltage data cabling installs and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Axcient and Datto platforms.
Deploy, configure, and administer virtualization environments using Hyper-V and VMware.
Support Dell and HP server hardware deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Document system configurations, procedures, and provide end-user training when needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in IT support or systems engineering roles.
Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and administration.
Strong experience with Active Directory, Windows domains, and Group Policy management.
Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, firewall rules, VPNs, and wireless deployments.
Familiarity with products like Proofpoint, Mimecast, or similar for email security.
Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and best practices.
Experience with physical access control systems and surveillance camera systems.
Proficiency using RMM tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Kaseya) and helpdesk platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar).
Ability to handle low-voltage cabling installs and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with backup and recovery systems, especially Axcient and Datto.
Strong Hyper-V and VMware skills for deploying and managing virtualized environments.
Knowledge of Dell and HP server hardware, including installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Relevant certifications (preferred but not required): Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, VMware, or similar.
