This is a temporary position.
The Digital Cobrand Product team drives the design, development, and innovation of Marriott Bonvoy's credit card experiences across Marriott Bonvoy web sites and mobile app serving more than 30 leading brands and nearly 9,500 properties in 144 countries and territories worldwide.
As a Scrum Master for the Digital Cobrand Product team, you will lead Agile ceremonies, manage sprints, resolve blockers, and drive continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director of Cobrand Product, you'll collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders to deliver backend & frontend customer-focused enhancements, as well as innovative cobrand credit card products to drive card acquisitions & member loyalty.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and execution.
Managing cross-functional dependencies and removing blockers.
Collaborating with product, design, and engineering leaders to deliver seamless customer experiences.
Supporting the evolution of the Marriott Bonvoy's credit card digital experience.

The pay range for this position is $47.30 to $77.45 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.

Education and Experience
Required:
- Undergraduate degree, equivalent experience, or certification.
- 7+ years of information technology experience, including:
- 5+ years of Agile Delivery experience using Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.
- 5+ years of planning and problem-solving with product management and delivery teams.
- 5+ years of creating and delivering presentations and project plans.
- 5+ years of working with tools such as Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence).
- Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP).
- SAFe certified - SAFe Agilist or SAFe Scrum Master.
- Servant leadership experience as a Scrum Master on an Agile Release Train.
- Familiarity with product/project development experience on an Agile team in a technology-focused organization.
- Ability to align change management strategies with product development and deployments.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and understanding of facilitation techniques.
- Ability to navigate through large scale complex programs and partner with dependent teams/stakeholders to understand and communicate needs.
- Ability to understand and represent both business and technology within and outside of large-scale delivery programs.
- Thrive in a highly collaborative, matrixed, complex, fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities/Duties
- Support one or more software delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Lead and support software delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Manage development sprints from planning to review in an agile environment.
- Facilitate scrum events including sprint planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Retro to help remove barriers to keep the team moving.
- Collaborate on requirement documentation and decision-making.
- Guide the development of agile capabilities across the organization.
- Partner with Product Managers on plans and progress communication.
- Identify and proactively resolve impediments.
- Work with the Release Train Engineer and tech teams to manage dependencies.
- Contribute to advancing Agile practices and collaborate with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters for organizational improvement
- Act as a servant leader for the Agile team(s), partnering with product managers to maintain plans, coaching and mentoring on best practices, drive Jira hygiene accountability and communicate progress
- Proactively identify and resolve impediments, collaborating with peers or escalating as needed.
- Proactively partner with Product Managers to understand product backlog and facilitate recurring planning events/activities for e.g. PI planning
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Leading Organizational Delivery
- Facilitate and support all scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Ensure Scrum is understood, and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
- Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
- Work with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role.
- Act as a servant leader to the Agile team and direct the initiative delivery team.
- Partner with Product Managers to maintain plans and communicate team progress. This includes product roadmaps, scrum team metrics, and program/project status reporting.

- Optimize team performance by recognizing areas of strength and improvement, employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
- Encourage and develop team understanding of engineering practices, DevOps, and innovation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence decision-making and support organizational project or product teams.
- Support the development of behavioral change management, communications, and training to drive process and tool adoption, implementation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholder groups to validate the effectiveness of standard processes and continuously improve process quality.
- Work with Marriott teams to ensure that process-related activities address company needs.
