Our client, a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions space, is looking for experienced Facilities Electrical Engineers to be part of the design, construction, commissioning, and sustaining operations for our new state of the art high volume manufacturing Fab and existing technology development fab in Boise, ID.

The Facilities Electrical Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for working in a team environment with parallel engineering disciplines, to analyze operational efficiency activities, identify cost effective sustaining and manufacturing improvements and provide design input on projects. Will provide input for operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of all electrical distribution systems and equipment. This position works directly with the operations team technicians and outsourced vendor maintenance teams monitoring systems parameters via intelligent systems such as SPC/IOT and SCADA (Schneider Electric), ensuring they are running within specifications. Site has dynamic voltage recovery and dynamic UPS systems for bridging power bumps and outages. Responsible for overall electrical system integrity including routine short circuit analysis, coordination studies, arch flash updates, reliability, and predictive improvements. Responsible for tracking system loads, forecasting consumption and maintaining utility budgets. This posting requires a hard work ethic and diligent attention to detail.

The Facilities Electrical Engineer must have the pertinent people skills that enable the coordination with other system owners, maintenance crews and construction trades to drive projects and daily tasks. Will be responsible for developing operations and maintenance documentation and collaborate with vendors providing services. Provides design engineering input for existing system modification, upgrades, and new equipment installations. Facilities Electrical Engineer will create, review, and implement electrical switching procedures required to move loads for maintenance and construction activities.

Education and Experience:
  • Required: Minimum - Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Required: Three or more years of relative experience
  • Preferred: Master's degree in engineering and/or your discipline specific Professional Engineer certification
  • Preferred: Three or more years of Facilities/Plant Operations experience in semiconductor manufacturing
