Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical expertise and guidance in the application of our steel products, ensuring that they meet customer needs and industry standards.
2. Collaborate closely with the R&D team to innovate and develop new steel products.
3. Leverage your knowledge of ingot, steel, and refractory materials to enhance product performance and reliability.
4. Assist the sales and marketing team in technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer meetings.
5. Conduct in-depth product training for sales teams, customers, and partners to ensure a thorough understanding of our products.
6. Manage and resolve CCAR incidents, ensuring that all issues are handled promptly and effectively.
7. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling product positioning and messaging.
8. Act as a liaison between the manufacturing, R&D, sales, and marketing teams, ensuring a seamless flow of information and ideas.
9. Continually stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and customer needs to inform product development and sales strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. 7+ years of experience in the steel manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with tundish steel is strongly preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of CCAR incidents and how to manage and resolve them effectively.
5. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team, collaborating closely with colleagues from a range of disciplines.
8. Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market.
9. Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and translate them into product requirements.
10. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support sales and marketing efforts.
