We are currently seeking to hire a FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN at our location in Michigan City, Indiana.
Job Summary
You will act as one of the key points of contact with our customer and will represent the company in the most positive and professional manner as you provide the best in mechanical services and customer service. As a Service Technician, you will repair and upgrade a wide range of mobile power equipment machines including compressors, generators, welders, hydraulics and engine starters.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide professional, timely and accurate repair of customer mobile equipment.
- Be responsible for each repair call you make to: troubleshoot and repair equipment, submit all documentation and data, and create excellent relationships with customers you serve.
- Troubleshoot and repair customer and company mobile equipment.
- Complete each repair job in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
Job Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with mechanical repairs, specifically in the air compressor industry
- Experience evaluating, diagnosing and repairing machines
- Have good electrical aptitude (12V and 120V) for machinery and mechanical devices
- Must be able to work in a high stress environment, operate as a team, and interface with other departments
- Must be able to travel on short notice
- Must be well-groomed in the presence of customers
- Must have basic tool set; specific tools will be provided
- Must have a valid driver license and be insurable to operate a company vehicle
- Must be able to work in a safe manner with no supervision
