TRC Talent is looking for a Field Service Technician for our client based in Griffin, GA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to perform service and repair work on generator enclosures and fuel tanks both in-shop and in the field. This role requires weekly travel across the lower 49 states, working directly at client sites to support field operations and ensure quality workmanship. Technicians work closely in teams led by a designated Team Lead to complete projects efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform service and repair work on generator enclosures and fuel tanks both in-yard and on-site at client locations.
  • Follow quality standards and safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain accountability for tools, materials, and proper documentation.
  • Keep job sites and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Communicate effectively with Team Lead regarding progress, issues, and updates.
  • Ensure all services are performed to high-quality standards and meet compliance expectations.

Travel & Team Structure:

  • Travel is required weekly and primarily across the lower 49 states.
  • Teams typically consist of a Team Lead and 3-4 Technicians, scaled up as needed to meet project timelines.
  • Flights and hotels are pre-arranged and booked by the company.
  • A $75/day per diem is provided for meals during travel.
  • Company-issued credit cards are currently provided to Team Leads; mileage reimbursement is offered when driving to airports.
  • When driving out-of-state, rental vehicles are arranged by the company.
  • In the future, company credit cards will be issued to all traveling technicians.
  • The current schedule includes weekly travel to job sites, with potential to alternate between travel and working in the Griffin, GA office in the future.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of relevant technical experience preferred

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair skills
  • Ability to read measuring tools and technical drawings
  • Basic computer proficiency for service reports and communication
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and team collaboration skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing field conditions or priorities

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with generator systems and industrial enclosures
  • Understanding of manufacturing or mechanical repair processes
