We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to assist with providing technical support to healthcare personnel, including doctors, nurses, and administrative staff, during the build-out of new hospital facilities.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality customer service and technical assistance, focusing on tasks such as:
- Adding user groups
- Adding printers
- Resetting passwords
- Re-imaging laptops
- Providing basic in-person support
Responsibilities
- Unbox and set up monitors, printers, and PCs
- Install and configure workstations
- Break down pallets and boxes
- Assist users with installations and troubleshooting
- Perform network logins and map network drives/printers
- Swap and install hardware components
- Test and configure VoIP phones
- Support imaging and deployment of devices
Requirements
- Basic technical skills, including computer imaging and customer support
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under supervision
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Great attention to detail and professionalism
- Reliable transportation (daily travel to clinic sites required)
Deployment Scope
- Approximately 730 desktops/laptops
- 722 peripherals (keyboards, monitors, scanners)
- 600 VoIP phones
- 395 additional devices (faxes, facilities equipment, biomedical items)
- 200 PCs for physician areas
- Total: ~2,750 items to be deployed over a 6-week period, plus additional requests.
