Annual Work Days: 260 annual workdays
Position Location: In-Office - Hybrid - Remote eligible with frequent travel

POSITION SUMMARY: The FileMaker Pro Developer will be responsible, as a team member, for maintaining and improving our custom FileMaker Pro student and school information system used at IEM and IEM schools. The incumbent is responsible for responding to, originating, and fulfilling requests that lead to continued improvement in our custom systems. The incumbent should have a strong understanding of relational database architecture and all the development tools available for the FileMaker Pro application. Incumbent will be required to be available during work hours by phone and for remote meetings using video conferencing and screen sharing applications. The incumbent is expected to work cooperatively with team members and others to enable the departments to provide the highest level of service possible. Creativity and productivity is encouraged and valued. The incumbent is expected to work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain current FileMaker database applications and systems and communicate ongoing progress in
weekly review meetings;
2. Design and implement new FileMaker Pro solutions based upon requirements and user feedback;

3.Work as a productive team member in support of defining requirements, acceptance criteria and delivery schedules;
4. Assist in the development of functional specifications based on provided vision & scope;
5. Analyze business needs; define goals, propose solutions, identify value;
6. Propose creative solutions to mitigate potential problems;
7. Contribute (as needed) to solution documentation and user training;
8. Participate in business process review and redesign;
9. Identify and prioritize key issues that need to be addressed for projects to succeed; 10.
May perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; graduate degree a plus
Experience: Three (3) years direct experience developing relational databases in FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server; Proficient in both Mac and Windows environments; Integrating 3rd party plugins
into FileMaker Pro solutions; Scripting, XML, SQL, WebDirect, and FileMaker Go;
QuickBooks/FMBooks Connector experience a plus; Business Analyst experience a plus; Net
experience a plus.

Proficient with email software, web applications, enterprise software, spreadsheet software, and word
processing software.

Physical Demands: Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking and hearing in a standard office
setting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read printed materials and a
computer screen with ability to adjust focus. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. The
noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Drivers license/Insurable: Must have a valid California driver s license and must be insurable under the
School s insurance policy. Must maintain personal vehicle insurance and submit proof to Human
Resources when requested.
