Job Details

VDart Group is seeking a Budget & Financial Control Specialist (Power Generation) to support our client s Power Generation team. This role is ideal for professionals with power plant maintenance experience who can combine technical knowledge with strong financial oversight.

Role: Budget & Financial Control Specialist (Power Generation)

  • Location: Indiantown, FL (Onsite)
  • Duration/Term: Long Term Contract

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 5 years of experience in budgeting, cost control, or financial analysis.
  • Power Plant maintenance experience in the Power Generation industry is required.
  • Ability to work safely with industrial personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Prior experience in overhaul scheduling/cost tracking in a power plant environment.
  • Knowledge of scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera (preferred, not required).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage operating budgets for plant units and departments.
  • Review expenditures to ensure compliance with budget allocations.
  • Maintain accurate financial and spending records.
  • Conduct account audits and prepare expenditure reports.
  • Compile and analyze budgets, considering actual performance, prior expenditures, and forecasted expenses/income.
  • Oversee plant overhaul projects as the business lead, ensuring daily burn rates, monthly accruals, and actual costs align with forecasted budgets.
  • Track and report on maintenance and overhaul scheduling/costs.
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to drive financial discipline.
