Job Title: IT/Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Cairo, Egypt (Onsite)
Contract Type: Independent Contractor

This is a freelance role, not a permanent or full-time job
Work is provided only when required (on-call / on-need basis)
Working hours are not fixed
You will receive at least 24 hours prior notice before onsite support is required
You will be paid only for the hours you work

Role Overview
Provide onsite IT desktop and end-user support for laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals, and mobility devices while ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
Key Responsibilities
Onsite desktop & end-user support (break-fix and service requests)
Troubleshooting Windows OS (Windows 7 & 10), hardware, and peripherals
Ticket handling, incident & request management via ServiceNow
IMAC activities, deployments, refresh, and asset/inventory updates
Hardware/software installation and image deployment (SCCM, Autopilot)
Basic AV & Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) support
VDI support (Citrix XenDesktop, Azure Cloud PC)
Endpoint security support (McAfee, Cortex XDR)
Mobile device support (iOS & Android)
Vendor coordination for hardware/spare replacement
SLA adherence and strong customer service
Requirements
Basic experience in IT/Desktop Support
Understanding of ITIL concepts
Good communication and client-handling skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
