Smarter, Faster, and as always - First. That's our philosophy. Bloomberg Media empowers global business leaders with breaking news, expert opinion and proprietary data distributed on every platform, across every time zone. Like our products and solutions - our teams are agile, dynamic, and innovative. We work hard, and we work fast - while keeping up the quality and accuracy for which we're known. It's what keeps us inventing and reinventing, all the time. Our culture is wide open, just like our spaces. We challenge each other. And through our countless volunteer projects, we help bring out the best in our communities as around us, too. You can do amazing work here. Work you couldn't do anywhere else. It's up to you to make it happen.

We're hiring a Video Editor who will lead with video editing and also create or modify on-brand graphics. This person should be able to quickly learn and navigate Bloomberg's internal systems, editorial priorities, templates, and distribution workflows.

You'll sit at the intersection of live news, breaking clips, exclusive interviews, produced packages, and digital/social distribution. You'll work closely with the news desk, the TV assignment desk, and colleagues in the region and in offices around the world. This is a hands-on role for someone who's proactive, organized, collaborative, and thrives under deadline pressure.

WHAT WE'LL TRUST YOU TO DO

- Edit fast and effectively across formats, including breaking news clips, VOs, SOTs, multicam interviews (including translated tracks), digital-first pieces.

- Package for every platform: Prepare content for the Bloomberg Terminal, broadcast, web, and social; meeting specs, aspect ratios, audio standards, captioning, and platform specific guidelines.

- Stay organized: Follow standards for project/multicam organization, shared storage, versioning, and handoffs; maintain tidy project media bins and timelines.

- Collaborate widely: Partner with executive producers, show producers, assignment editors, and journalists; while being able to step into support roles as needed.

- Work independently with minimal supervision: Communicate seamlessly with colleagues, using Zoom, messaging platforms, and other tools to stay connected across time zones.

- Utilize Bloomberg systems: Work with our media asset management, Adobe Creative Suite, templates, newsroom planning tools, distribution workflows, and the Bloomberg Terminal. Training available.

- Cover the news when it happens: Take on early starts, late wraps and regular weekend/holiday shifts as assigned; fill in across shows and desk needs.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Availability to work a shift-base schedule, Friday through Sunday approximately 20-24 hours per week.

- Flexibility to cover additional shifts and vacation backfill as needed.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

- At least 3 years of newsroom or equivalent high-velocity video experience (broadcast, digital, agency or publisher).

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud; especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop, with skills in multicam editing, audio mixing, captioning.

- Experience with cloud-based editing and collaborative workflows;

- Demonstrated ability to handle breaking news with speed, accuracy, great attention to detail and solid editorial judgment.

- Working knowledge of social publishing workflows and newsroom planning tools; strong understanding of aspect ratios, platform specs, and metadata.

- Excellent communication skills and a proven teammate with a strong sense of ownership, follow-through, and quality control.

- Fluency in written and spoken English.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

- You consistently meet deadlines with clean, accurate, on-brand edits and graphics.

- You are proactive and responsible, and can be relied upon to take care of a project from start to finish.

- You elevate production value for both live segments and digital deliverables.

- You anticipate needs, bring solutions, and collaborate fluidly across desks and time zones.

- You adapt quickly, from market-moving breaking news to polished long-form pieces
