RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Java Engineer to support and enhance market-facing applications, with a focus on systems operating within regional transmission organizations. This role involves developing and maintaining software solutions that interact with Independent System Operators (ISOs), leveraging APIs and portals to ensure seamless data exchange and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full-Stack Java Engineer will design, develop, and maintain applications supporting market operations for regional energy systems
* Integrate with ISO APIs and portals to automate data retrieval, submission, and reporting
* Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing market-facing systems
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver robust technical solutions
* As a Full-Stack Java Engineer, you will monitor system performance and implement enhancements for reliability and scalability
* Stay informed of ISO updates and ensure system compliance with evolving standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with PL/SQL and Oracle databases for data management and reporting
* Hands-on experience with ColdFusion for legacy system support and integration
* Experience working with APIs and web portals in a production environment
* Familiarity with ISO protocols and data exchange mechanisms
* Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and best practices
* Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework for backend development
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
