Full Stack Developer, PHP Laravel, React

We have been retained by our client in Dallas, Texas to deliver a Full Stack Developer on a regular full-time, direct hire basis, to work 100% remote from within a one-hundred (100) mile radius of the Dallas Fort Worth, Texas area.

About The Team: Our client has a dynamic development team that is harnessing AI, ML, to perform conversational AI, generative AI, and they need advanced, full stack, PHP Web Applications developed by you. We are seeking someone passionate about creating innovative web applications using cutting-edge technologies including PHP Laravel and React or other JavaScript UI Libraries or Frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js or others.

As a PHP Full Stack Engineer, you will be part of a cross functioning team delivering high-quality PHP software solutions with Laravel, that meet the requirements and contribute to the overall success of our clients projects. You will be involved in the conversations around the analysis and understanding of the specific requirements for the complex functions these PHP Laravel web applications will perform.

What You Will Do:

• Develop web applications and APIs using PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, React.js, MySQL or MariahDB, Azure and related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and coding standards.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality and bug-free software.
• Optimize application performance and scalability to handle high traffic and large datasets.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and adhere to version control and release management processes.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, actively contributing innovative ideas to improve processes and software development practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, providing technical support to users when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members and actively participate in Agile development methodologies.
  

What You Will Need To Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business degree, or a related field; or related experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
• 4-5+ years of proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer creating web applications with PHP, and Javascript, and MVC, including some Laravel.
• In-depth knowledge of PHP MVC frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, Phalcon.
• Experience with relational databases and non-relational databases such as MySQL or MariahDB, including writing optimized queries.
• Experience in PHP building APIs and integrating with third-party APIs.
• Experience with API testing techniques.
• Experience with designing and implementing unit tests.
• Knowledge with RestAPI, JSON.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket.
  

We prefer candidates that have:

• Previous PHP experience with Laravel framework, or Symfony framework, or Phalcon framework. Laravel 7 or later. And Laravel 9 or Laravel 10 are a big plus.
• Extensive experience with SQL databases such as MySQL/MariaDB, MSSQL.
• Postman for API testing, and experience with designing and implementing unit tests.
• Knowledge with RestAPI, JSON.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is desired.
• Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends is highly desirable.
• Contribution to open-source projects or personal coding projects are helpful.
• Laravel integrated authentication, enriched unit testing, Blade templates engineer, Artisan command-line tool, Laravel Livewire, JSON, Blade Directives, Components, Layouts, Forms, Service Injection, Laravel service container.

• Experience with the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
• Ability to design and develop multi-tenant environments that support features such as theming, regionalization, and multi-lingual.
• Software development and deployment experience in Microsoft Azure platform.
• Experience with chat interfaces, web sockets, message polling.
• Experience developing microservices architecture and orchestrating containers and services including Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Apps.

Desired, but unlikely, just in case. (None of these are required but are desired.):

• Basic knowledge of Azure resources and secure deployment of solutions in Azure utilizing infrastructure as code (I-a-C, IaC).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket.
• Basic knowledge of Microsofts Azure Databricks (Open Data Lakehouse in Azure) for data frameworks, and other data science frameworks such as document databases, NoSQL databases, Microsoft DocumentDB or Cosmos, and any APIs. Hint: Only Cosmos DB allows you to use key-value, graph, and document data in one service, at global scale and without worrying about schema or index management. Cosmos DB allows you to use your favorite API including SQL (Document DB), JavaScript, Gremlin, MongoDB, and Azure Table storage to query your data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Experience with JIRA is preferred.
• Proven experience in a healthcare technology environment OR in the implementation of an AI / ML, Generative AI solution or technology product. An understanding of healthcare industry practices and regulations is preferred. Knowledge of Generative AI solutions or products using artificial intelligence, machine learning, AI, ML, analytical data, Large Language Models or generative AI models. Knowledge of natural language processing, conversational AI, the associated ethical considerations in the developments and deployments or uses of such models is preferred. (but not required)
• However, PHP Laravel full stack skills including database skills are the some of the most important or key skills and experience that unlock the offer.

Employment Type: Regular Full-Time, Direct-Hire

Salary Range: $115,000 to $140,000 / year
