Job Details

Purpose: Serve as the primary strategic advisor and trusted liaison between CEI and its high-value clients in the Chicago region (world s largest insurance brokers with global reach and local presence), driving long-term partnerships, revenue growth, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Leadership
    • Act as the main point of contact for designated clients, owning the overall relationship and satisfaction.
    • Understand client business models, risk exposures, and strategic objectives to craft tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
    • Function as a consultative business partner with a deep grip on the client s broader operational goals.
  • Revenue & Account Growth
    • Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
    • Lead account planning initiatives to accelerate expansion of CEI services.
  • Operational Excellence & Problem Resolution
    • Oversee smooth onboarding and delivery of CEI services, ensuring client needs are met through coordinated efforts.
    • Quickly resolve client issues by mobilizing the right internal resources and ensuring clear communication.
  • Risk Management & Solution Customization
    • Guide clients in navigating complex insurance landscapes across property, casualty, employee benefits, surety, and more.
    • Leverage CEI s capabilities to design comprehensive, cost-effective, and compliant solutions.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting
    • Track client satisfaction, retention, and financial performance metrics.
    • Deliver executive-level reporting and presentations on progress, trends, and growth opportunities.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Insurance, Finance, Risk Management); advanced degree preferred.
  • 8 12+ years in insurance brokerage or risk management, with experience serving key enterprise or commercial accounts.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive relationship-building capabilities.
  • Experience working in a major market - Chicago - is mandatory.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing client portfolios in a consultative role.
