Functional SAP FI Consultant

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP FI configuration, implementation, and support activities, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP FI solutions.
• Support financial close processes, reporting, and month-end/year-end activities within SAP.
• Ensure proper integration with other SAP modules (CO, MM, SD) and external systems.
• Provide end-user training and documentation on SAP FI processes.
• Participate in SAP upgrades, enhancements, and migrations, including S/4HANA implementations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues, working closely with technical teams when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an SAP FI Consultant or in a SAP FI functional role.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI submodules: GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Special Ledger.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly desirable.
• Understanding of integration points with O2C, MM, SD, and other SAP modules.
• Proven experience in requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and end-user support.
• Familiarity with financial processes including month-end/year-end close, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• SAP FI certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Fiori apps and SAP analytics/reporting tools.
• Exposure to international accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP).
• Experience in large-scale implementations or global rollouts.
